Title: Staff Elder
Family: I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, graduating from Mansfield Christian School in 1976. Lori and I started dating our senior year and were married in 1978. We have been blessed with our two children – Eric (wife Alyssa) and Jocelyn. We also cherish our three grandchildren, Trinity, Oliver and Margot.
Current Job: Care and Outreach Pastor at Crossroads Community Church
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Over the years at Crossroads, I have had the honor of leading men’s groups, marriage groups, financial campaigns, and mission’s trips. I have been a lay and staff Elder for over 20 years. In my current staff position as Care and Outreach Pastor, I continue to see God bless and grow our ministry in incredible ways!
Experience at Crossroads: We began attending Crossroads in September of 1996 when the church launched at the Ontario Junior High School. We quickly were involved in many ministry and leadership opportunities. Lori became part of the Crossroads staff as Director of Programming in 1998, and I followed as Director of Operations in 2002. I feel blessed to be at a church where I’m surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who are real in their faith and desire to lead people to the Truth that transforms lives in North Central Ohio and around the world!
Title: Elder Chairman
Family: I have been married to my wife Jean for 42 years. She is the love of my life. We have four grown and married children - Cory (Garner, NC), Justin (Lexington, Ohio), Ashley (Mansfield, Ohio), and Amy (Plano, Texas) – and 7 grandchildren at this time. Aside from my relationship with Christ, family is the most important thing in my life.Current Job: I am retiring and ending a 40 year career in the automotive industry in March 2018. We have lived in Ohio for the past 14 years, where I have served as the President of Control Devices, a Division of Stoneridge. I have had the privilege of traveling the world and working with an excellent team of people in the US, Mexico, Europe, India, and China. I know this next chapter in life will be equally exciting and fulfilling.
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Currently serving on the Elder Board as Chairman. In the past, I have been a member of the Praise Team and led a House Church for a period of time.
Experience at Crossroads: Jean and I have been blessed immensely by being a part of Crossroads. It was the first local church that we visited upon moving to the community and have never looked back. We have both grown by serving and leading in differing ways over the years. Our visits to Cambodia with the Asia’s Hope Team have truly been times of growth for us and our daughters. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to have helped lead through a period of transition at Crossroads and trust that God has great things yet in store for HIS local church. I invite each and every one of you find your place of service and join in the journey.

Title: Lay Elder
Family: Cindy and I have been married for more than 30 years and are thrilled to have raised three sons. We now have three daughters-in-law and a granddaughter. Our sons live in New York City, Greenville (South Carolina) and Cincinnati and are all involved in their churches. We spend as much time with them as we can, but are especially focused on the Greenville son and daughter-in-law because they are raising our first granddaughter. They all grew up at Crossroads, so it’s interesting to hear them compare what’s happening at their churches to what’s happening at ours.
Current job: I have worked in the elevator industry for most of the last 35 years and continue to do so (KONE Elevator Company). I’ve been in business-to-business sales the entire time. Most of my travel is local and I’m home 4 or 5 nights a week. Apparently I spoke highly enough about it, over the years, that one of my sons went into the business as well.
Areas of service at Crossroads: Cindy, the boys and I started at Crossroads at the second public service ever held, a couple of decades ago. Our time here has been absolutely delightful. I have volunteered in many capacities over the years and currently volunteer on the Elder Board.
Experience at Crossroads: When our boys were young, my greatest concern was that they would meet the Living God, and His Son Jesus, and fully commit themselves to Him. My second greatest concern was that they would discover other men and women, of a similar age to me, to whom they could go with problems they might not want to discuss with Cindy and me. So as I volunteered in various ministries at Crossroads, I kept meeting men and women who easily fit the bill. However, had I not volunteered, I would have only met a small fraction of those I did meet. So in trying to meet that initial goal for my sons, God gave me a huge circle of acquaintances I never would have met. And Cindy tells a similar story. Her best friends today are women she met at Crossroads as she was volunteering and supporting her three sons along the way. To say that Crossroads has filled a very significant area of my life is easy. To say that God used the men and women of Crossroads to minister to my family over the last 20 plus years is much more accurate. In serving, I have been served over and over again.
Title: Lay Elder
Family: Nicole and I met in the Air National Guard and began dating in 1999. The Lord quickly showed me that she was the one and we married shortly after in June 2001. Nicole and I have been blessed with 5 incredible children - Hannah (13), Griffin (12), Addison (10), Jameson (6), Isabella(2). The military has moved us around the country, but it feels great to be back home in the Clear Fork Valley area and back at Crossroads.
Current Job: Recruiting and Retention Superintendent, Ohio Air National Guard
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Foster/Adoption Community Group Leader
Experience at Crossroads: Our family has two slogans, ‘Bloom where you are planted’ and ‘Be a light!’. We were long time members of Crossroads prior to the military moving us to San Antonio, TX and then to Washington DC, before bringing us back to Bellville in 2015. During our travels, we worked hard to live out the slogans and both bloom where the Lord had us planted at that time and to be a light for Him while we were there. During these travels, we had a constant feeling that something was missing. Once we returned to Ohio, we quickly discovered that the missing piece was Crossroads. Our family is excited to be back and now have the opportunity to serve Him through Crossroads. As an Elder, my prayer would be to continue to grow and blossom for him, while being a light for Him in a world that is becoming ever darker. I am truly honored and humbled with this opportunity to serve in this capacity and I’m excited to see God’s work through His people at Crossroads for His purposes in our church and this city.
Title: Lay Elder
Family: I have been married to my wife Ginger for more than 4 decades and consider it a blessing as we continue to love and cherish each other as followers of Christ. We have two children, Joshua and Jessica who are both adults; Joshua teaches at OSU and Jessica is a stay at home Mom with 3 children. Our grandchildren are Caleb, and identical twin girls Esther and Hannah.
Current Job: Retired from manufacturing management
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Serve on the Safety/Security Team, North Park, City Center build and Widow Ministry
Experience at Crossroads: The Lord has truly blessed our family with the privilege of being part of the body of Christ at Crossroads. I have re-newed and strengthened my relationship with the Lord through the fellowship of believers here; in particular while serving with the community, study and service groups. The men’s groups and Bible studies have been instrumental in my continuing growth in the Lord, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another” Proverbs 27:17. I have participated in two disaster relief missions working with Samaritans Purse. We as a family are very thankful for His abundant blessings, including the opportunity to sponsor a young Cambodian girl, Vann Sung, through Asia’s Hope. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve the Lord through Crossroads.
Title: Lay Elder
Family: A very dear friend thought that Bri and I would be a great match, and set us up on a blind date. I was at a point in my life where I was not ready for a relationship, and as a result when the date was over, I did not ask for Bri’s phone number. Bri knew what she wanted though, and unbeknownst to me “accidentally” left some photos that she wanted to show our friend in my car. Bri got what she wanted – her photos and another date - and the rest is history. (Please note that this is my version of our story.) God has blessed me with an incredibly caring, sweet, and beautiful wife, who is a wonderful mother to our twin girls – Millie and Kendall.
Current Job: Application Retirement and Data Archiving, OhioHealth
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Assistant Facilities Coordinator (aka “Little Greg”), Shuttle team
Experience at Crossroads: Our same friend who introduced Bri and I, also introduced us to Crossroads. We casually drifted in and out of the church for several years, never bothering to know anyone, give, or serve. Through various trials in my life, God eventually broke me and drew me to Him. Attending church became something for our family that was non-negotiable. In addition, involvement was non-negotiable – this started with serving on the parking team, and ultimately led to men’s groups, Bible studies, and the Shelby House Church. A church that once seemed huge and difficult to navigate suddenly shrank and became much smaller and warm. Becoming connected in community at Crossroads has been one of the single greatest blessings that the Lord has ever bestowed upon me. The fact of the matter is that I wish I could go back and do it sooner. As I later found out, during our time of drifting, the Lord was preparing two men to place in my life who would disciple me and model what it means to cherish God as your supreme joy and honor him in all areas and at all times. Crossroads continues to be a place of refuge and support for us, always modeled by the genuine fellowship and love shown in Acts 2. God has been and continues to be so unbelievably good to us in the valleys and on the hills. I am incredibly honored and humbled to serve Him and His church.
Title: Lay Elder
Family: Deanna and I met and began dating in 2000. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I had found a girl who was way out of my league. Fortunately she didn’t come to that realization before we were married in 2003! We’ve had the pleasure to serve in the role of foster and adoptive parents since 2007. We currently have six children in our home: Shayla, Dawson, Brayden, Caleb, Tasha, and Olivia.
Current Job: Contract Specialist, Ohio Air National Guard
Areas of Service at Crossroads: Served as a lay pastor, have led men’s groups, as well as other classes.
Experience at Crossroads: Raised by a hog farmer turned pastor, I was exposed to scripture and relationship with God at an early age. After a season of rebellion in my adolescence and early adulthood, I returned to the faith. In 2005 I was baptized by my father, and began to dig into what it would mean to live life as prescribed in the Word. Becoming parents in 2007, Deanna and I found ourselves called to find a new church home. We visited a number of churches in the area, and eventually settled in at Crossroads. Parenting children with a variety of special needs has presented challenges along the way; we have been so thankful for the robust children’s ministry here. The teaching and community that I have experienced at Crossroads have taken me to new depths of faith and relationship with our Creator. The call to serve as an elder is quite humbling. God still has plenty of sanctifying work to do in my life, and I am thankful for this opportunity to serve Him in this role.
Title: Staff Elder
Family: Angie and I met at Crossroads in 1998 and were married in August of 2000. She was and continues to be one of God’s great examples of grace in my life. In her He has truly blessed me so much more than I deserve. We have four children, also great gifts from God. Grace is 14, Annie is 11, and Chloe and Emma are 8.
Current Job: Generations Pastor at Crossroads
Experience at Crossroads: I started working full-time at Crossroads in August of 2016. It is truly a pleasure to work with this staff team and to serve along side so many Crossroads members. God is truly at work here, building His kingdom and bringing glory to His Name. He uses so many people with such a variety of gifts to spread the Gospel. God is leading people to the Truth and transforming lives in North Central Ohio and around the world, and I am humbled to be a part of His work.
