Core Values

Value 1

We believe that biblically based teaching is the catalyst for life transformation and spiritual growth of the church.

This includes the concept of teaching life changing principle through topical or exegetical messages - Rom. 12:7, 2 Tim. 3:16, James 1:23-25.

Value 2

We believe that people were created to glorify God, therefore, we are committed to dynamic worship.

This includes the concept that corporate worship is contemporary; including the use of praise choruses, drama, video and private worship - John 4:23; 10:10, Romans 6:23.

Value 3

We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church and the individual believer.

This includes the concept of relational evangelism and evangelism as a process - Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Matthew 18:14.

Value 4

We believe that the church should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.

This includes the concept of sensitivity relating to our culture through printed materials, video media, music and use of the arts - 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.

Value 5

We believe that the church functions at its peak when men and women are stewarding their spiritual gifts through service to the body.

This includes the concept of unity, servanthood, spiritual gifts, and active ministry participation - 1 Corinthians 12 and 14, Romans 12, Ephesians 4, Psalm 133:1.

Value 6

We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people, therefore we are committed to creativity and innovations done with quality.

This includes the concepts of evaluation, critical review, intensity, and excellence - Colossians 3:17, Malachi 1:6 14, Proverbs 27:17.

Value 7

We believe that life-change happens best in community, teaching and task groups.

This includes the concepts of discipleship, community, vulnerability, accountability and service - Luke 6:12-13, Acts 2:44-47.

Value 8

We believe that churches should be led by men and women with leadership gifts and abilities.

This includes the concept of empowerment, servant leadership, strategic focus, and intentionality - Nehamiah 1 and 3, Romans 12:8 and Acts 6:2-5.

Value 9

We believe that the pursuit of becoming a fully formed Christ-follower should be every believer's objective.

This includes the concepts of stewardship, servanthood, and the pursuit of spiritual maturity - 1 Kings 11:4, Philippians 2:1-11, 2 Corinthians 8:7.
